![]() ![]() Do not fret! Our awesome artists Smokin’ Foreman and Qloo got to work and produced an asset for an alternative plan, which is already in development right now. However, during our recent development endeavors we have recently scrapped another asset. It is only a small sliver of what we will soon show. In a video we released last month, we showcased a small portion of the scrapped content we have to showcase. However, with progress also comes more scrapped content. Soon enough we will be done with the hardest part of the update, and the progress will get much faster from there. We’re currently in the middle of the most difficult part of the update- but it’s over 50% complete now! To us, this is a major milestone. The progress on Operation: Duck Hunt has been phenomenal. Speaking of Duck Hunt, what’s up with that? ![]() Hopefully this upcoming update will be the final content to hold everyone over for the release of Duck Hunt. A plethora of more small features and bugfixes.A new just-for-fun zone that we will discuss later in this post.An in-game Mini-Server list that updates in real-time with our website. We will be releasing our brand new website, featuring a place to list your Mini-Server for others to join. While it will be intended for bug fixes, expect the following features to be present in that update: Because of this, we now plan to release a new bugfix update sometime within the next few months. We were having serious issues with future distribution of the game, but now those issues no longer remain dormant. However, shortly into December we announced that such an update would not come out due to unforeseen circumstances. Originally, it was planned to release a bugfix update to handle all these pesky issues. The release of v2.5.0 went smoothly for the most part aside from some annoying bugs that still linger to this day. If you only care about Operation: Duck Hunt news, then skip to where you see an image in this post! I’m going to make it a goal to make a progress post like this at the end of each month leading up to the release of Operation: Duck Hunt, so expect several most posts like these in the future! Without further ado, let me give you an overview on what’s been happening… This is Benjamin from the Toontown Offline team here to give you an update on the progress on Toontown Offline ever since we released v2.5.0 to the public. Well, that's all about all the news we have for this month. It’s been a while folks. However, if you were to check out a video by Smokin' Foreman earlier this month, you'll find that a scrapped cutscene for the Duck Hunt update was showcased for all Toons to gaze their eyes upon. ![]() That being said, I am slightly hesitant to give a teaser (a scrapped one at that) like I did last month. We are confident that with the progress we're making, the update will be released this year. The remaining portions of the Operation: Duck Hunt update are coming along swimming. Rest assured we don't intend to take a break anytime soon. However, that does not mean the update as a whole is receiving final polishing- just the largest portion of it. We are putting our finishing touches on what we think to have been the most difficult part of the update to produce. I am pleased to announce that the thick of the Operation: Duck Hunt update is nearly complete. Now that we have that out of the way, let's get to the juicy stuff- Operation: Duck Hunt. We hope you enjoy browsing our site as we continue to update it over the upcoming months. That being said, the website right now is a bit bare-bones, only providing information about the game but as time progresses more features will be added, including some awesome Duck Hunt downloads upon release and of course, the server list." It was obvious to me that the old redesign wasn't going to cut it for new features such as the server page (which is coming soon!) and many other features that aren't even thought of yet, which is why we've created a brand new front-end design that incorporates both the fun aspect of Toontown while also maintaining a professional and clean look to spark the interest of any new players. "While this isn't a content release or game update, it is an update that is close to me, for obvious reasons.īefore joining the team, the Toontown Offline website was pretty meh in my opinion and lacked any information or features to attract new players to the game, nor educating any players about what it is without saying "just join the Discord", and to this day it still doesn't do the one thing a website is supposed to do. Here are a couple of words from our lead Web Developer, Jake: Yes, what I'm talking about is our new website! The web developers & artists on our team have been working hard to create this new website, and today, it makes its debut. Do you like it? Not too shabby if I do say so myself. ![]()
